Today is my aunt Kim's 40th birthday, and we were lucky to get to see her for dinner.

Isn't she stunning? I hope I look half as beautiful on my 35th birthday!

Today is our friend Priya's birthday, so we went out in Roseville to celebrate with her. I forgot my camera, so I had to snap this iPhone photo of Todd in the car as we headed home from a great night out.

We had the first fireplace fire in our house tonight.

It so happens to be our first fireplace fire together ever, actually. And the first time Shug and Cozy have ever even witnessed fire.

Shug seemed to love it. He laid in his bed, staring at the flames, and purred louder than ever.

We had our monthly luncheon at work today and it was complete with turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, salad, and pumpkin pie.

Mmm...definitely got me looking forward more to the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday!

These are the bookshelves we got from my in-laws. They're in our family room, holding our games and puzzles.

From Bingo! to the Rubiks cube, Bananagrams to an Etch-a-Sketch - we are ready to entertain ourselves, and of course our guests.

Like I said before - come visit us!

p.s. What's your favorite board game? If we don't have it yet, we could be getting it soon! (Topping our wish list these days is Apples to Apples). So fun.

While in Red Bluff, my Father-in-law hooked us up with a great deal on a tow hitch kit and installation on our Element.

We brought some great bookshelves down from their place, and then we were able to clear out our storage. When we moved in together, we had to store an extra Queen size bed and a dining room table (among other things), and now we finally have room for it all in our house.

See that bed? I've made it up nice and cozy in our guest room. Come visit us!

Today we hightailed it up to Red Bluff to spend the day with my father-in-law, Cliff. We had breakfast, ran several errands, and then Todd and Cliff did some work while I napped comfortably in front of an America's Next Top Model marathon. Fabulous afternoon, I tell you. Fabulous.

In the evening, we went to Cliff's Cutting Banquet where he won several buckles, and some spurs. I caught this photo of Todd trying to give his dad a hug, all while being met with much resistance.

This is pretty much how I feel when he tries to hug ME after that many boozy beverages too. Hehe.

What would you do with this wall space next to the refrigerator?

We have a plan, but I'd love some input (or confirmation we're doing the right thing, if you want to throw some of that my way instead). See the cabinet on the right with the oven? We're planning to have a pantry built that would be almost identical in size to that. Four doors, shelves on top, drawers on the bottom.
