Sleepy, adorable Red Panda
Tonight was our zoo parent's picnic at the Sacramento Zoo, and it was really pretty awesome. Access to the animals after 5:30 was amazing, and I got some really fun photos (I'll post some other good ones on my other blog too!).
One of the coolest things about the evening was that we were able to participate in a silent-then-loud auction for some really neat zoo-related stuff (like a chimpanzee footprint, some beautiful framed photographs of their lion, etc). We took home a puzzle, puppet, and bag of candy for $60. Well, the coolest thing about it is that $50 of that $60 goes directly towards our zoo parentship for next year (which means we'll be invited back to this great picnic), AND it's tax deductible and benefitting the zoo we love so much.
So it was totally win-win, and lots of fun. I highly recommend becoming a zoo parent at the Sacramento zoo. They take good care of their sponsors. We had a lot of fun.
